Summer 2016 Events & Volunteer Opportunities

Summer 2016 is coming up fast! With nice weather, vacations, and festivals, come plenty of timebanking opportunities. Following is a list of current festivals the West Seattle Timebank will be participating in.*

Our participation usually is in the form of a booth, filled with several timebank members willing to share information and their experiences with festival attendees – plus candy helps break the ice. Larger festivals usually also have a simple activity for kids and those young-at-heart. Last year at the West Seattle Summerfest, we even had a group perform a skit! We’ll have to see if that opportunity is there for us again.

We would love to have some volunteers to help out this summer – Check the schedule below for a date that works for you. You’ll be part of a group of timebankers who want to spread the word, have materials available to hand out, and tons of support from those of us who have done this before. Don’t be shy if this is your first time or if you don’t feel like you have “done enough exchanges”. Being a member is all that is required. Of course, bank all the time you spend helping us at events. Volunteer a couple hours and then go see the rest of the event.

Be watching for more specific opportunities in the Community Weaver database as these festivals get closer. Or, if you have a specific day you know you would like to help, email us at to sign up now. See a popular event we missed? Let us know where you would like to see us.
