Location: Senior Center of West Seattle, 4217 SW Oregon St, Seattle, WA 98116
Date/Time: Thursday, July 21st, 2016 – 6:30PM potluck, planned activities begin at 7PM
By popular demand, we are bringing you an evening of community building and
‘How do I do that?!’
During the June open house, members voiced their opinions on upcoming Open Houses. We listened and are making July’s Open House all about sharing and learning. Instead of having a speaker, members and interested community members can come participate in one of two ways.
#1: Community Weaver ‘How To’. Bring your questions, hang ups, and even creative success stories. We’ll provide answers and resources, both one-on-one and collaboratively, on how to use Community Weaver. Spend the full time on this offering or pop in for quick instruction and ideas.
What to bring: If participating in the Community Weaver ‘how to’ session, bring yourself and a laptop, smart phone, tablet, or other device you would like to access the exchange database with. Don’t have something portable? That’s fine – the Senior Center computer lab will also be open for one-on-one instruction. We have made this open to all.
Haven’t had an orientation yet? This would be the perfect time to come find out about how to use a resource for exchanges and complete an orientation in the process.
#2: Enjoy an extended time to socialize, make connections, and come up with offers and requests. Come for the potluck, stay as long as you wish. Sharing needs, past exchanges, and current offers always inspires! If there is a timebanker that would like to organize an activity that inspires, we would be glad to have you participate. Just let us know your idea at firstname.lastname@example.org
Haven’t been to an Open House for awhile? This might be the perfect opportunity to come. We’ve gained many new members throughout West Seattle, White Center, and Burien in the past few months.
We hope to see you there!
